Here is a letter from Christine Jeanbart, mother of Greg Silah about the members of Gregs church and Sunday school. Parents and children alike are rallying around the familys of Greg, Alex and Zaven, missing since July 2nd, showing support and dedication towards their safe return.

Christine showed heart felt emotion when she told me about the efforts and the love shown towards her and the boys when I spoke to her about the event. She said, “I can’t believe how everyone is trying to help so much. How can I  thank them”. I told her “just bring the children home!”.

 From Christine,

This past Sunday, Sept. 21st we had a church rally at our church (United
Armenian Congregational Church). I stood behind the table with Nadya
Malconian (who organized the event with Rev. Ron Tovmassian, our senior
pastor).

The fundraising was announced in the church handout saying: Information
About the Silah Children is on www.findthesilahchildren.com. This website
has been designed to help raise money to find the kids and for information.
Please continue to pray for the Silah families.

Making a stand, a lemonade stand

From the darkest moments of our lives when all we have to keep us going is faith there sometimes comes a shining light that keeps us going from day to day. Two such beacons have illuminated the lives of Zanni and Christine, mothers of Alex, Zaven and Greg Silah recently showing that there are people that care enough to help.
We are hearing from people all over the country that are taking collections, holding bake sales, car washes and lemonade stands. It is my pleasure to showcase a couple of them here.

We heard from a mother of one lovely young lady that wanted to make a difference by raising some money for the rescue of the Silah children. Kayane Janjigian and her children are from Philadelphia and recently sent Zanni an E-mail letting her know about what her daughter had done on behalf of the Silah children and their families. She started by saying,

“My daughter, Talene Knudson, always thinks about your boys and nephew and each night prays for them along with her brother Michael. My son is 11 and my daughter is 8 and I’ve explained the basics of your situation for weeks now. While we were at the shore, Talene said when we return to Philly she wanted to help the Moms by having a lemonade stand and wanted to give you the money to help you find your kids.

LOS ANGELES (Los Angeles Daily News)— Felony arrest warrants have been issued for two brothers suspected of kidnapping their three sons a month ago, a publicist hired by the boys’ mothers announced on August 2.

Ronald Brot of Brot & Gross, Sherman Oaks, who represents the mothers of the missing children, explained in an interview with the Mirror-Spectatoron August 5 the specific charge. “Technically, it is child abduction, which is a charge leveled on behalf of the custodial parents, rather than the child. They could be charged with
kidnapping when they are apprehended.”

Local Los Angeles TV station KTLA.com posted a news article about the press conference held at the L.A Pacific Station yesterday. The article described very well the emotional turmoil that Christine Jeanbart and Zanni Meguerian are going through after the loss of their 3 sons. Greg, son of Christine along with Alex and Zaven were abducted by their fathers George and John Silah on July 2nd 2008. There has been no word from either the children or their fathers since that time.

Zanni and Christine made a heartbreaking plea to the fathers to “Do the right thing” in front a a large group or media reporters. She also appealed to the children to try and call 911 if they are able to.
Around the country the plight of the children is being noticed as concerns for their safety grows. Websites in Virginia, Maryland, New York Illinois and Connecticut have run the story credited to the KTLA article.

The families and friends of the Greg, Alex and Zaven would like to thank the press for their efforts to inform the public about the children’s plight and hope that we will see them home safely soon.

FindTheSilahChildren.com got media exposure today on the KCAL9 News coverage of the media conference held at the Pacific Division station of the Los Angeles Police Department.

This website is being continually updated with the most recent developments in the search for Greg, Alex and Zaven Silah who have been missing since July 2nd 2008. We have been getting high level exposure through all of the major search engines ranking us at the top or near to it. The one thing we have been lacking is exposure in the media and especially Television.

Our hope is that the children will see their website and be able to leave a message in the forum or send an E-mail message through the Contact us link or the Webmaster link.

Telephone numbers displayed prominently are:
Pacific Area Detectives at (310) 482-6313.
After hours and on the weekends, please call 1-877-LAWFULL.

Our thanks go out to KCAL9 for their excellent news coverage and bringing FindTheSilahChildren.com to the public attention.
